At Prysmian, we seek to become a national and global leader in sustainability. We celebrated our commitment to sustainability with the Prysmian Group Sustainability Week on 20 June to 24 June 2022. A series of digital events took place in this week, where we shared our business vision, priorities and initiatives on sustainable practices. Our Australian Telecomm team presented ‘Innovation for Sustainability and Performance: Telstra Infraco Partnership with Prysmian to shape a new state-of-the-art fibre network’ with the participation of prestigious external guests from Telstra Infraco.
Prysmian cables will form the newest Telstra Infraco fibre network. Locally manufactured at our Dee Why, Sydney plant, our cables have been adapted to be more resilient to the harsh conditions. This new ultra-high capacity, low-latency fibre technology that will enable express connectivity between capital cities up to 55Tbps per fibre pair capacity on routes such as the Sydney-Canberra-Melbourne.
